The area surrounding possesses an exquisite natural beauty, boasting dramatic cliffs, lush valleys, and the Vikos Gorge, the largest canyon in Greece and (disputably) in all of Europe. The gorge is a much sought-after destination for many serious hikers and mountaineers from around the world. The village of Papigko proper is surrounded by snowcapped mountains (in winter) and also has provisions for lodging as well as quaint, intimate tavernas serving up traditional Greek food, coffee, and spirits.

Excursions to the nature, along the river with a lot of passing through the water. The horses are Hungarian with high grade of training and beginners or kids can take part.

Riding in the River

If you don't wish long excursions you can ride at the farm field escorted by an experience trainer. We do ride all the year and we should have with us long trouser and old training shoes.

Other Areas Activities

1.Voidomati - Vikos gorge. Descent the most beautiful and clear river in Europe. A mangificent route of difficult level III, we are crossing the green gorge of Vikos and we are descent the falls of the stonebridge of Kleidonia.

2.Aoos. It needs good preparation for the descent of IV difficulty level in the most demanding river in Greece. Begins from the bridge of Vovousa kai ends at the bridge of Konitsa.

3.Araxthos - Kalaritikos. Magnificent routes in the river of Araxthos with changes of difficutly from level II to IV among valeys and canyons.

4.Aherontas. Magnificent route to "Adis Gates" with changes of the level of difficulty and the landscapes.
